Original Scores for Unforgettable Moments

Donal is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and composer working across film, television, podcasts and digital media. A drummer first and foremost, he also composes across guitar and piano.His recent screen work includes composing the full score and writing the title track for The Beep Boop Animation Series. He also co-wrote and placed a track in Jim O’Hanlon’s film The Last Days of Rabbit Hayes.

Previous film credits include the horror feature Urban Legends and A Life Less Ordinary. Donal has also composed original title music for a number of podcasts, including the Irish authors’ podcast What’s in the Water? and The Network Effect – Network Ireland’s podcast series.

Now based in Ireland, and in a previous life with three albums released and extensive touring across the United States and Europe, Donal brings a broad musical vocabulary shaped by performance, production and songwriting. His work blends strong melodic writing with contemporary production, allowing him to move fluidly between pop, cinematic and electronic styles.

MOST RECENT PROJECTS

On Beep Boop, I’ve been handling everything from thematic development to full orchestral scoring, 8-bit (niche) sound design, and writing the theme song. The experience has deepened my ability to support story, emotion, and character through music, while collaborating closely with directors, animators, and sound teams.
